The African National Congress Youth League (ANCYL) – Ekurhuleni Region is the vibrant and militant youth wing of the African National Congress (ANC), committed to advancing the struggles of young people in Ekurhuleni and beyond. As the political home of young revolutionaries, we uphold the ANC’s mission to build a non-racial, non-sexist, democratic, and prosperous South Africa, ensuring that the youth are at the forefront of social and economic transformation.
Our Mission
The ANCYL exists to champion the interests of young people, ensuring that their voices are heard in governance, policymaking, and economic development. We are committed to:
- Defending, deepening, and advancing the National Democratic Revolution (NDR).
- Organizing young people into an active force for radical economic transformation.
- Fighting for free, quality, and decolonized education.
- Advocating for youth employment, entrepreneurship, and land redistribution.
- Defending the gains of democracy while holding leadership accountable to the people.
